Lifescapes is a tale of adventures passed along in poetry, the musical written expression of who we are, where we have been, and our longing for future journeys. In this tale you will see me. Lifescapes is related in five modes: Musings - affective situations Love Sought - searching for our "one" Love Engaged - Living with our "Love" Love Lost - Alas, she has gone Idiosyncrasies - Events, catastrophes, our deep selves examined, a laugh, and our "all"

Dr. Jon Jacobs, born in Biloxi, Mississippi, into an Air Force family, has lived in Germany, France, and thirteen states. Poetry is an outlet for his adventures and relationships. A cousin of Edgar Allen Poe, Jon began his poetic writing at eighteen. 30 years a general and vascular surgeon, he now has a cosmetic and surgical dermatology practice. After thirteen years of battling and winning his fight with lymphoma, he still composes poetry. His hobbies and interests are many, including owning and flying helicopters and single-engine planes, making wood pens and objects on his lathe, playing guitar and singing folk music, fencing, skiing, magic shows, marksmanship, welding, acting and modeling, Christian teaching and youth work. Jogging, golf, tennis, archery, karate and Tai Kwando, have all been a large part of his life. Jon enjoys his many patients and friends, and life in general.
