Blake Rockwell is an ex-cop not by choice, but by circumstance. He believes he caused the death of his partner. He cannot simply walk away however, so he has started his own detective agency. His overbearing father assumes that this is not a permanent career for Blake, but just a stepping stone until he understands what is his true calling. Blake, according to his father, is a police detective. Rockwell’s father suggests that he should use his human interest newspaper staff, which normal people would view as a walking calamity waiting to erupt into chaos and a really nice old lady, to get his temporary agency started. The band of misfits comes together at just the right time to fill in the missing pieces of the case. This zany group gets to the bottom of the case stumbling over and over again the major clues and symbols that eventually lead to the capture of a ruthless killer.

Jeffrey Michael Tebelak born in Barberton, Ohio is a husband, father, and writer. He lives in the city of Indio, California with his wife Katherine and son Nash. He is currently working on a follow up novel to Just One More and a novel in collaboration with his son, about his own life growing up in Ohio in the early 1970’s. Mr. Tebelak is a high school English teacher. He loves teaching English and to him, there is no greater good in the world than helping young people become great. The author also claims that he learns just as much from them as they learn from him. It is a team approach to learning and it creates a safe learning classroom environment. The author elaborated more about the classroom and the testing problems that his students have. He says that the academic language and content vocabulary are tough for them along with positive and negative connotation questions, understanding American idioms, and context questions. So when he sat down to start writing his novel, Mr. Tebelak pulled out his grade level literary and analysis standards and looked over them. His novel is flooded with academic language such as figurative language, internal conflict, external conflict, motivations, influences, foreshadowing, flashbacks, imagery, allegory, symbolism, subtleties, contradictions, ironies, tone and more. This is what motivated the author to keep on writing his book, as long as he believed he was helping his kids with academic language he continued to write. His most important point on education is no matter what, do not give up on young people, they are our future.
