Evidence-based practice is one of the driving forces in current healthcare practice. Occupational therapists recognise the need for research and for an evidence-based approach to interventions, but can need guidance on how to do this. This book aims to make evidence-based practice accessible and relevant to occupational therapists using examples from therapy practice. It will give occupational therapists the skills to search for and access the evidence to underpin or question practice.

Evidence-based practice is one of the driving forces in current healthcare practice. Whilst most occupational therapists acknowledge the need for research and the need for an evidence-based practice approach to interventions, many therapists admit that their grasp of research is limited and therefore they tend to avoid reading research papers and dislike numbers and statistics. This book makes evidence-based practice accessible and relevant to occupational therapists, using examples from therapy practice.
