Peter Norton Computer software entrepreneur and writer Peter Norton established his technical expertise and accessible style from the earliest days of the PC. His Norton Utilities was the first product of its kind, giving early computer owners control over their hardware and protection against myriad problems. His flagship titles are Peter Norton's DOS Guide and Peter Norton's Inside the PC. Arthur Griffith received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Northeast Louisiana State University. For several years he specialized as a compiler writer. His first encounter with operating system software was in the early 1980s when he maintained and enhanced embedded and dedicated systems. He also worked with several flavors of UNIX as a system level programmer, and he is now working on two Linux projects.
