Edward Kiley lives in Joliet Illinois with his wife Arlene of thirty-eight years. He has been writing children’s stories for over thirty years. He began by telling stories to his daughter Marisa as they drove home from the grandparent’s houses. The tradition has continued with the addition of three fantastic grandchildren, Hunter, Elias and Esai. Ed works with public and private schools in Maryland, Delaware and DC. He knows the reality of what teachers face on a daily basis. He has been a counselor for the last thirty-five years working with various forms of abuse. He has dealt with victims of physical and emotional abuse. He works with children experiencing life events such as divorce and single parent homes. He is a court appointed supervisor for visitation appointments between parents and children. Throughout his school years he was a victim of bullying. Though the reasons for bullying were different in the 60’s, the feelings they generated are the same. As an adult he developed Multiple Sclerosis and has experienced the reaction it generates, both and positive and negative. He believes that training starts at home. Training is a repetition, requiring inculcating from birth on. Children flourish knowing what is expected of them. They are a gift to be cherished. EJK54@hotmail.com
