Dr. Leighton Flowers serves as the Director of Apologetics and Youth Evangelism for Texas Baptists, an Adjunct Professor of Theology and a local Teaching Pastor. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Applied Theology from Hardin-Simmons University (1997); a Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2000); and a Doctorate in Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (2016). His doctoral dissertation focused upon the various soteriological perspectives within the Southern Baptist context and he now has a popular website and podcast dedicated to answering the difficult questions surrounding this complex and often controversial subject (www.soteriology101.com).
