William E. Adams, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who has provided counseling to thousands of men and women who chose to make meaningful changes in themselves, and in their relationships with the people who love them. Since 1992 he served as program director for the American Family Alliance, a dedicated dedicated domestic violence counseling program providing help to men and women who wanted to stop hurting those they love the most. William Adams, Ph.D., Q.M.E. is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Qualified Medical Evaluator, in the specialty of Psychology, in private practice in Long Beach, California. He received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Texas Tech University. He served as adjunct faculty at California State University Long Beach for six years. In addition to providing a wide range of counseling services to individuals and couples, he served as Program Director for the American Family Alliance Domestic Violence Counseling Program for 22 years. Dr. Adams is author of The Choices Program: How To Stop Hurting The People Who Love You, and his domestic violence intervention program has been adopted for use by many providers and organizations, including the U.S. Navy Southwest Region for active duty personnel and their families. He is a frequent speaker at professional seminars and conferences.
