Soft cover. Condizione: Good. Trade paperback. First Printing. 8vo(5.25 x 8 in.). 78pp. Black & white wraps, "Smokin' Paul" on the front cover. Content info and author bio on the back. Fair amount of surface rubbing. Binding is solid, no creases. Pages are clean, still bright. A poem titled "Ode to Severn Darden About Angels, the Common Cold, Nuclear Disarmament, and Popcorn" on page 34 folds out to 12 page sections totaling 5 feet (!). Though a good poet, Carroll is better known for his academic work, starting the Poetry Center of Chicago and co-editing Big Table Review. He also edited a ground-breaking collection "The Young American Poets" published in 1968. This volume was his first book of published poetry. Codice articolo 002176
