The Civil War took everything from Alex Adamley. Once the captain of the blockade runner the Savannah Belle, Alex was left broken and penniless at the end of the bitter conflict. His ship blown apart, home and family gone. Himself with only one arm. And with no will to live.Yet his dead brother had left him a piece of property in the distant West.
