DAILY LIFE

PROVERBS 23:23

Buy the truth, and sell it not;

also wisdom, and instruction,

and understanding.

LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, FAMILY

ECCLESIASTICUS 40:19

Children and the building of a city

continue a man's name: but a blameless

wife is counted above them both.

THE PLEASURES OF LIFE

ECCLESIASTES 8:15

A man hath no better thing under the sun,

than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry.

ECCLESIASTICUS 32:5-6

A concert of musick in a banquet of wine

Is as a signet of carbuncle set in gold.

As a signet of an emerald set in a work of gold,

So is the melody of musick with pleasant wine.

TIMES AND SEASONS

ECCLESIASTES 3:1-8

To every thing there is a season, and

a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant, and a time to pluck up

that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time

to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh;

a time to cast away stones, and a time to

gather stones together; a time to embrace,

and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time

to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time

to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time

of war, and a time of peace.

THE PURSUIT OF VIRTUE

PROVERBS 22:1

A good name is rather to be chosen

than great riches, and loving favour

rather than silver and gold.

WISDOM AND FOLLY

PROVERBS 3: 13-18

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,

and the man that getteth understanding.

For the merchandise of it is better

than the merchandise of silver,

and the gain thereof than fine gold.

She is more precious than rubies:

and all the things thou canst desire

are not to be compared unto her.

Length of days is in her right hand;

and in her left hand riches and honour.

Her ways are ways of pleasantness,

and all her paths are peace.

She is a tree of life to them that lay hold

upon her: and happy is very one that

retaineth her.
