She is Professor of Public Engagement in Science at the University of Birmingham, UK, and has been teaching anatomy to undergraduates and postgraduates since 1998. She is also a science writer and broadcaster, presenting many BBC television programs, including Don’t Die Young, The Incredible Human Journey, and Origins of Us.
