Sinossi

The growing interest in nanostructures and modern epitaxial techniques have provided new areas of application for the properties of narrow band gap materials. As well as conventional infrared applications, the materials are now being used in a variety of different ways, including novel tunnel devices and infrared superlattices. Ease of contact to some materials has made them the obvious choice for electrical nanostructures. This volume contains the latest research into the wide variety of uses of narrow gap materials.
