L'autore
Trevor Rowley is Director of the Public Programmes in the Department for Continuing Education at the University of Oxford. He has combined his career in education with a lifelong love of landscape history and archaeology which began under the supervision of the father of landscape history W.G. Hoskins at Oxford. His publications include Villages in the Landscape, The High Middle Ages and Norman England. He has excavated in Britain and elsewhere in Europe and is an enthusiastic traveller. He is fascinated by the Norman enigma about which he continues to research.

Soft cover. Condizione: Good. INSCRIBED twice by the author. First softcover edition, in the publisher's original cardstock wrappers, octavo, pp. 193. Illustrations throughout, some in color; maps. Purchased at Christ Church, Oxford, for a summer session course in 2007, and Inscribed by the author on the free front endpaper in that year. Interestingly, a separate inscription from author to another previous owner in the year of publication is on the title page. An old crease, measuring 9.5 cm (3.75"), and running diagonally from lower fore-edge to bottom edge on front panel. Crease is not immediately visible because of dark cover color. Internally clean and unmarked. Inscribed by Author(s). Codice articolo 19878
