Flint knapping, which is the shaping of flint or other fracturing stone to manufacture tools, was one of the primary skills used for survival by our prehistoric ancestors. ROBERT TURNER teaches flint knapping at Sussex University, Chichester College (Brinsbury Campus), Amberley Museum and Butser Iron Age Village, as well as at shows and National Trust meetings. He lives in West Sussex.
