ROSEMARY S. CAFFARELLA is a professor in the Division of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Northern Colorado. She is coauthor (with S. Merriam) of Learning in Adulthood (Jossey–Bass, 1991) and serves as a consulting editor for Adult Education Quarterly and Adult Learning.
