He has also worked on the London Daily Mail sports desk since 1975, and now broadcasts regularly on international soccer for BBC Radio 5 Live as well as being cable TV station CNN's world soccer correspondent. His books include the acclaimed World Cup Director and he was the 1990 British Sports Magazine Writer of the Year.
