"Local Anesthetics" addresses a category of drugs widely used in anaesthetic practice. Because more and more operations and other procedures today are done using regional anaesthesia instead of general anaesthesia, an understanding of the pharmacology and clinical uses of local anaesthetic drugs is necessary for all anaesthesiologists.
