Utilizing new tools such as infinite dimensional Lie theory, the theory of moduli spaces of geometric structures, algebraic topology, and symplectic geometry, there has been a growing systematization of the theory relating geometry and integrability. Nineteen papers from the July 2000 conference address a broad range of research issues in this systematization representing contributions from areas such as physics, algebraic geometry, differential equations, and topology. Specific topics include twisted Tomei manifolds and the Toda lattices, quantization of Benney hierarchies, the cohomology of theta divisors of hyperelliptic Jacobians, simple singularities and symplectic, discrete conjugate nets of strings, and geometric nonlinear Schr÷dinger equations.
