Bertram was appointed by the U.S. Department of State as its speaker and specialist on STEM education in 2014 and has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives on STEM education and America’s skills gap. He is a former teacher, principal, and urban superintendent. Bertram holds doctorate, specialist, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees from Ball State and Harvard University
