The term "boilerplate" is most properly used in its widest sense to describe the framework of clauses common to nearly all commercial contracts. The purpose of this book is to give practical guidance on how to draft the operational framework for commercial contracts, without which the substantive rights of the concerned parties in the agreement would have little meaning. Also included are many examples, tried and tested in everyday use, for the boilerplate clauses in common usage by commercial draftsmen. Among the features of the book are over 100 sample clauses, while annotations give advice on which clauses to use in a given situation and drafting guidance.
