Sinossi

This work seeks to cover recent advances in a range of techniques that can be regarded as "dynamics" (hydrodynamics, NMR, dynamic light scattering, fluorescence anisotropy decay and electro-optics) and their application to specific assemblies of biological macromolecules: assemblies involving proteins, nucleic acids and glycoconjugates. Some important advances in the capture and analysis of data (in many cases of the notoriously difficult "multi-exponential" type) are identified. "In vivo" assemblies of biological macromulecules do not always exist in a dilute solution environment - normally far from it - and some attention is paid to the dynamic properties of more concentrated dispersions.
