A merger of the author's two earlier books, "Sea fishing for pleasure and profit" and "Crabs and crawfish." The author, forced to leave the army at an early age following a riding accident and a year in Indian hospitals ".where treatment was limited to spine boards, water beds and hope.", took up a career of commercial fishing based at a port on the Lleyn Peninsula, North Wales.
