‘I thoroughly enjoyed it and think Helen has terrific skill. The characters are vividly written and likeable, even dastardly femme fatale Ella who I looked forward to encountering more and more as the book progressed. I was transported back to my student days and those 'always couples' we knew would last the distance...the Williams and Kates of my generation. To handle the two time-lines so confidently shows how clever Helen is, and it gives those characters a wonderful depth and familiarity. By the end, I felt I'd known them half a lifetime, too. The book has a great feel-good quality, with echoes of moreish and much-missed television series like This Life and Cold Feet, along with Richard Curtis movies. I'm certain it will appeal to readers hugely.

'Helen Warner’s “RSVP” is a delightful read. The cast of characters is small enough that you can really get to know everyone, but large enough to offer a variety of personalities and plots...The characters are believable- as is the plot. Warner makes it easy to empathize with each of her characters...Sometimes I find the plots to chick lit novels cliché, but with “RSVP”, I was constantly surprised by how original it all was...If you believe in “the one” (or even if you don’t), or if you enjoy brides on motorcycles, and weddings that take place when all the guests have left, this book may be for your “To Read” list. '

L'autore

Helen Warner is Head of Daytime for Channel 4, where she is responsible for shows such as Come Dine With Me and Deal Or No Deal. Previously she worked for ITV where she launched the daytime talkshow Loose Women and was editor of This Morning. She lives in East Anglia with her husband and their two children. RSVP is her first novel.
