Sinossi
This volume attempts to put the transportation problem in the context of regional land use and to offer guidance to those who make transportation improvements and to planners who approve and implement projects that need transportation services. Case studies identify some of the policies that make things worse, explore some of the practices that may improve the relationship between transportation and land use and examine the experiences of some urban areas that have accepted the challenge of delivering transportation.
