Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Near Fine. Illustrated by Illustrated with Drawings by Edward Gorey. (illustratore). First Edition (1982) , unstated. Near Fine in a Near Fine DJ: The Book shows two tiny, superficial indentations to the bottom edge of the front panel and a hint of wear to the head and heel of the backstrip; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of any creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome, nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing the mildest wear and minor, unobtrusive imperfections. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. Very close to "As New". The DJ shows very mild rubbing and very faint consequent soiling to the white background field of the panels; a quarter-inch tear at the top edge of the rear panel; the price ($10.95) has not been clipped; mylar-protected. No longer 'As New', but remains bright, clean and intact. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo (8. 65 x 5.8 x 0.75 inches) . Profusely Illustrated with Duotone Drawings by Edward Gorey. Hardback with DJ. Collection of satirical verse, including the 1973 "Love Song of R. Milhous Nixon," for which Gorey created a charming introductory page but whose central subject was too grotesque for even Gorey to illustrate directly. Among the sections is a "Nightmare Before Christmas" group, apparently unrelated to the film released a decade later by Tim Burton, though the film's producers have cited Gorey as a major influence. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 122 pages First Edition [1966], First Printing stated.
