“This book is quite complete and self-contained. It is up-to-date and covers a wide range of topics, all of which are pertinent. The presentation seems accessible to beginners, and yet it also has enough advanced material to be of interest to experts.” -- Todd Arbogast, Professor, Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, University of Texas, Austin.“This is a well-structured book covering a field that, as far as I am aware, has not already been dealt with. It will be an excellent supplement to existing books.” -- Rainer Helmig, Professor, Institute of Hydraulic Engineering, University of Stuttgart, Germany.
