It was also produced before the introduction of the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway and the installation of the The Royal Military Canal to counter the threat of Napoleonic Invasion. It pre-dates the construction of the Martello Towers and presents the county, especially the southern coast essentially as it was in Mediaeval times and had developed in the Georgian era.* This is a FINE TEXT copy of the 1st thus. with minimal cover faults reducing it to VG++.*.
