Brody Sweeney is the young, dynamic founder of O'Brien's sandwich bars. Since 1988 the company has become one of Ireland's most visible and successful brands, both at home and abroad. Since the opening of the first store, Brody and his management team have successfully opened over 270 outlets in Ireland, UK, the United States, Denmark, Australia and Asia. O'Briens is the largest gourmet sandwich and coffee chain in the U.K. and Ireland, and one of the fastest growing restaurant chains in Europe. O'Briens was one of the 6 main sponsors of the Special Olympic World Summer Games in 2003 and the Christina Noble Children's Foundation recently chose O'Briens as their premier worldwide sponsor. He is married to Lulu, who also runs her own business, and they live in Dublin with their four small children.
