"In his new book, David Glynne Fox takes the reader on a historical journey into the not too distant past, for eagle falconry is relatively new to Europe and especially the United Kingdom. The appearance of this work is timely because only a mere handful of the earlier devotees still survive and it is due to these individuals that much of the work contained herein has been extracted and .not lost to posterity and falconry history. .The bulk of this work will be new to its readers." This is David Fox's account of both his own exploits as a falconer, and the exploits of other eagle falconers, with a lot of material on the history of eagle falconry in the United Kingdom. A readable and interesting book which gives an immediate overview of the contemporary British eagle falconry scene and its characters. Though not a limited edition as such, only 500 copies of this first edition have been printed. The Foreword is by Jemima Parry-Jones. . Codice articolo 27668
