Bob Pollock spent over 34 years in both the classroom and public school administration. More recently he was an Assistant Professor of Education at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ. Over that career, Dr. Pollock interviewed over 1000 prospective teachers and reviewed the resumes of over 10,000 teachers. He also had 10 years as the coordinator and team leader of hiring teams in numerous school districts. From that experience he has drawn a wealth of knowledge about both the process and what teachers can do to maximize their chances of both getting to an interview and excelling during the interview. All of that knowledge is shared in this must read book. Countless future teachers have used it as their guide and been successful in their quest to find great teaching positions. One teacher who was a mother and had been out of the teaching field for over 12 years had sent out over 50 resumes and not gotten a single interview. After working with Dr. Pollock and employing the suggestions made in this book, she got three interviews and one job offer! Bob lives in Knoxville, Tennessee now and continues to do workshops and speak to prospective teacher groups. Best wishes to everyone in their search for that next great teaching position!
