From the fable cyle The Book of the Unknown, this edition was writtten, illustrated and designed by Jonathon Keats, and published by Modernism Inc, San Francisco, for the juday L. Magnes Museum, in a singed edition of 1,000 copies. First paragraph: When the scholar Meir lost his wife of twenty years, he did not hire the town matchmaker to find him another. Instead he collected mud from the bed of a river, hauled it home, and sculpted it into a girl on the floor of his cellar.
