L'autore

After graduating from the University of Colorado in Architectural Engineering, Bruce King worked on houses, hospitals, high-rise structures, airplanes and Polynesian resorts before obtaining his license in 1983 and starting his own engineering consultancy. Since 1989 that business has been based in Sausalito, California, from which he also directs the non-profit Ecological Building Network (www.ecobuildnetwork.org) which he founded in 1999. He is also the author of Buildings of Earth and Straw/Structural Design for Rammed Earth and Straw Bale Architecture, and along with his wife, Sarah, is the founder and owner of Green Building Press. He is very fortunate to live with, support and be supported by his wife, son, daughter and poodle in a lovely little valley draining to the San Francisco Bay.
