I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and raised in Scottsdale. After graduating from Arizona State University, I moved to Denver to manifest what I knew to be my destiny - commercial real estate investing. In 1981, I fell in love with Amy and married this brilliant lady in December of that year. In 1983, my daughter Heather was born. That was the best day of my life. A few years later, I experienced the first real dark night of my soul. I was asleep to what really mattered and didn’t know it. I alienated my wife, went through bankruptcy and divorce. I lost my family, my home, my reputation, my possessions and my confidence. Through this tragedy, I began to discover key principles of living that I'd never been taught. As I shared these concepts with others, their lives began to transform. That's when I discovered something I loved even more that real estate - making a profound difference in people's lives. In 1998, I graduated from the University of Santa Monica with a Master's degree in Spiritual Psychology. The emphasis of this astounding program is heart-centered counseling. That same year, I began facilitating culture-building leadership trainings for Pathways to Leadership (later named Verus Global). For six years, I had the privilege of teaching corporate leaders in Mexico, Spain, Germany, Thailand and extensively throughout the US. Two more marriages and divorces delivered gut-wrenching lessons that ultimately blasted my heart open even more, taught me volumes and drew me even closer to God. It’s taken decades to discover that my highest path was never to become the zillionaire I originally set out to be. Instead, my path has been to fall head over heals in love with my Maker, discovering a dimension of living that I never knew existed. In my passion to share this higher possibility of life, I founded the Love, Courage and Achievement Project, a Colorado-based organization, dedicated to personal and organizational transformation. Through television, seminars, individual consulting and speaking engagements - participants and work teams grow up the Wisdom Curve, becoming more joyful and effective in their lives.
