Adam Kirk Pruden grew up in the itsy-bitsy town of Roxobel, North Carolina. After barely graduating from Bertie High School he entered the Marine Corps with the expectation that he'd never have to go to school again. Six years later he found himself without a job and faced employers seeking to hire only college graduates. In frustration he commenced night classes and only eight long years later graduated with a master's degree in business management. To this day he still has never worked in the field.
