Riassunto

"Real Wyrd--A Modern Shaman's Roots in the Middle World" is Kelley Harrell's compilation of true paranormal experiences, from the perspective of a modern shaman and lifelong intuitive. From waking to deathwalks in the night to seeing apparitions in the light of day, you name it, she's brushed up against it, whether she meant to--or not so much. Not your usual bump-in-the-night supernatural accounts, these trips into the Middle World aren't always scary. Some are sweet, some are affirming, and all of them left Harrell looking at herself and Life differently. While many spiritual books on communicating with the dead and discarnate only extol the wonder and awe of that work, they don't talk about the toll it takes on personal lives, or the emotional perils faced learning to be healthy conduits for spirits. Indeed this work is wonderful and awesome, but it can also be scary, disorienting, and uprooting. Harrell shares these accounts of paranormal exploration as part investigation, part curiosity, and part luck of the draw in being a human equally aware of her soul. In that light, working with the other side of death equips Harrell better this side of life. This book is part of the Intentional Insights Blog-to-Book Series.
