Debra M. Roberts, LCSW, is a licensed certified social worker in private practice in New York. She received her master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University. For many years, Debra worked in nonprofit organizations in the areas of mental health, poverty legal services, health, and youth programs. She has been in private practice for more than twenty years, specializing in working with adults in individual, group, and relationship therapy. Debra’s communication model grew out of her extensive experience working with struggling relationships. She is also EMDRIA certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a form of psychotherapy that helps people overcome trauma and past negative experiences. This is her first book in a planned series.
