GROWING UP GONZALES is a comedy with drama in two acts. When Cisco Gonzales dies, his older brother, Johnny takes on the cleaning of his brother's apartment. In the process, he finds a shoebox filled with pages of notes and stories of their lives growing up in the Bronx in the 1970s. Johnny dives head first into Cisco’s offbeat world and discovers a brother he never really knew.

Felix Rojas began his professional writing career with The Family Repertory Company (The Family) in the mid-1980s. With The Family, Rojas had two Off-Broadway showcases, From The Mind Of Cheo and Hotel Presedential. He traveled to Cuba and Spain with The Family as writer/stage manager/production manager. After a third showcase of his play Mandance in the East Village, New York,” Rojas took a sixteen-year hiatus from the industry. He moved out of New York City and focused on raising two sons. In 2009, after being introduced to a new script-writing program by his younger son, Nick, Felix Rojas began writing again. In a couple of weeks, he finished his first play called Joy’s Chaos, which gradually be-came GROWING UP GONZALES. The play opened in New York City in 2011 for a four-week showcase that turned into a two-year run. Since then Rojas has written and produced, “Soy Chris,” a one-act play; Papi’s Promise, a feature film; and a play with music, El Conde y La Condesa co-written with Cita Rodriguez. Rojas has several films and pilots for television in-the- waiting. He is the Executive Artistic Director of a non-profit theater company called Reel Players and Poet’s Club.
