Reseña del editor

Pete Thorsen has seen Jimmy Ray Evans only once in thirty years so he's surprised when his former army buddy suddenly appears on his doorstep. Jimmy Ray insists on keeping a low profile, which is out of character for him, and does other odd things. A bar fight prompts Pete to ask a detective friend to check him out. The feedback stuns him. Now Pete's torn between helping a man he once considered a good friend and staying aloof from the fray. Half-measures rarely work, and when Pete tries, he finds himself locking horns with the authorities as he plays for time to determine whether the story Jimmy Ray told him is true. The more he probes, the deeper he gets dragged into a world of corruption and ugly family strife and violent grudges. And then becomes a target himself.
