Riassunto

Not all victories happen on the battlefield…Some wars are won in small rooms behind closed doors.

An extraordinary story inspired by real World War II Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES), this gripping novel is a testament to the unsung heroines of World War II and their invaluable contributions to the war effort.

In 1942, young math teacher Meg Burke left the haven of her parent’s working-class home in Brooklyn to join the U. S. Navy. Her determination and resilience drive her to excel in her field, ultimately unraveling enemy secrets that could turn the tide of the war.

Based on a true coming-of-age story, WAVES on the Potomac combines historical accuracy with captivating storytelling. Readers will be drawn into Meg's world, rooting for her as she defies societal norms and faces unimaginable challenges. This gripping novel is a testament to the unsung heroines of World War II and their invaluable contributions to the war effort.
