Henry of Bracton (or Bratton) (c. 1210–1268) was an English jurist. These volumes contain a collection of 2,000 lawsuits, each with a general description of how the law should apply to that case. Volume 1, 'Apparatus', introduces the texts and gives an account of Bracton's life.
