Learning Analytics Explained draws extensively from case studies and interviews with experts in order to discuss emerging applications of the new field of learning analytics. Niall Sclater is an independent consultant based in Scotland. He is Affiliated Faculty at the Amsterdam Business School of the University of Amsterdam and was formerly Director of Learning and Teaching at The Open University, UK.
