This jefuit wrote feveral books on controverfial fubjefts, fermons, and a letter declaratory of the doctrine of the jefuits, conformable to the doctrine of the council of Trent: this gave occafion to the " Anti Cotton, ' 1610, 8vo. and is found at the end of the hiftoryofD. Iñigo, 2 vols. iimo. This f.itire, which betrays more malignity than wit, is attributed to Peter du Coignet. Père d'Orléans and pcre Rouvier wrote his life, in I2mo.
