History records the life process of the past to the present, providing the material upon which tha wagelabourer student must build, and from which he must draw his conception of the nature of that life process and interpretation of the causes of continuity, embracing past and present, by a profound method of general observance, aided by the ability to divide and subdivide by means of an analytical classification. An intelligent analytical classification of historical data involves a method whereby the student is able to work out his objective and so arrange his matter that the human understanding may be served at a glance and the purpose thoroughly grasped. A mere classification of eventful records unassisted by an objective method of reason is comparatively useless, as the two-fold elements of study are essential to the real work of describing the relativity of historico-sociological factors as they affect the composite growth of human relationship, past and present, and therein help provoke a healthy, intellectual, embryonic conception ensuring human conformity to a great united future. The studious duty of wage-labour to appreciably recognise, know and feel tbe underlying causes of the origin, growth and prevailing condition of its social existence takes the form of a task imposed by the irresistible influences of time. Such a task cannot be ignored because of its magnitude or its seeming complex character. Each must add one's contribution to the work, and by so doing the fear of magnitude fades away, only to reappear in a masterful universal concord.
