Mikhail is forced into the Russian Army by his homophobic father. He dreams of joining his only love, Maksim, in Paris. This story starts in Saint Petersburg (Russia), evolves in Bakhmut (Ukraine) and climaxes in Sofia (Bulgaria). Its underlying drive centres on homophobia and its use within Russian geopolitical propaganda as a weapon of war against Ukraine, Europe and the West. A weapon that Dr. Heckmondwyke, as Mikhail's university counsellor, will too - ultimately use.
