Excerpt from Text Book of the Principles of Physics
IN the following pages I have endeavoured to give, in terms as simple as the nature of the subject will per mit, a connected account of the leading principles of modern physical science.
My aim has not been to build up a mere compendium of physical facts, but rather to put the reader in posses sion of such principles as will enable him with small difficulty to apprehend and to appreciate those facts.

Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book provides a clear introduction to fundamental physics concepts like time, space, and mass, offering foundational knowledge that's essential to understanding our physical world. Grounded in experimentation, the author presents time as length measured by a clock, space as distance traveled in a given direction, and mass as a measure of an object's resistance to acceleration. By studying how these concepts relate and interact, the book guides readers through the general principles of physics, from Galileo's law of falling bodies to Newton's theory of motion. With precise and straightforward language, the author lays a solid groundwork for further exploration of physical phenomena.
