Hale of Mount Wilson, the Royal Society, the Academy of Sciences of St Petersburg, the Royal Astronomical Society, the Carnegie Institution of Washington, the American Journal of Science, the Astrophysical Journal, and the Nautical Almanac. Without their courtesy, slight as the book may be, it would have been impossible to produce it.
