Excerpt from Man His Own University
The lecture, The Silver Crown, which the author has been giving in various forms for fifty years, is herein printed from a stenographic te port of one address on this general subject. It will not be found all together, as a lecture, for this book is an attempt to give further suggestion on the many different ways in which the subject has been treated, just as the lecture has varied in its illustrations from time to time. The lecture was addressed to the ear. This truth, which amplifies the lecture, is addressed to the eye.
I have. Been greatly assisted, and sometimes superseded, in the preparation of these pages by Prof. James F. Willis, of Philadelphia. Bless him!

Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book argues that observation is key to unlocking success. The author bases this premise on a traditional story from India about a man who gains wealth and status by noticing details others miss. The author provides various examples of how people have achieved success through observation, such as a milkman who notices the workings of a locomotive and saves a train from disaster. The author also discusses the importance of natural forces, such as the sun and water, and how mastering them can lead to advancement. Ultimately, the author believes that observation is a skill that can be cultivated, and that by developing this skill, people can unlock their potential and achieve great things.
