Excerpt from An Introductory Course of Quantitative Chemical Analysis: With Explanatory Notes and Stoichiometrical Problems
It has been found expedient with large classes to allow the whole class to work simultaneously upon the same procedure (for example, that for the determination of chlorine in sodium chlo ride), since classroom instruction can then be made more effective. Each individual is, however, permitted to work as rapidly as his capacity admits; and to such students as exhibit unusual facility in manipulation extra analyses are assigned.

Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book introduces quantitative analysis with detailed guidance to study gravimetric and volumetric analysis in an introductory course. Designed for students just entering the subject, the book presents theory and background with explanatory notes to help students understand the underlying reasons for each step prescribed. The author has also provided stoichiometrical problems explained with typical cases to help students grasp principles and gain confidence in manipulation. The book covers both gravimetric and volumetric analysis, and students will appreciate the use of approximately pure samples of appropriate minerals or industrial products for practice instead of simple salts as is customary. From the qualitative examination to the quantitative estimations, this book covers the subject, providing a useful insight into quantitative analysis for students who may not extend their study beyond the field covered by this manual. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. Codice articolo 9781330558690_0
