The age we live in is peculiarly a reading age; the desire of oratorical eminence is confined to no class, the materials of study and information accessible to every order of society. In this state of things it must surely be desirable that every possible effort should be made to form the public taste, to inculcate the prin ciples of correct judgment, and point out those models of fine writing, which may be studied and imitated with advantage.
