Excerpt from William Burke the Author of Junius: An Essay of His Era
I shall proceed to do SO by a Series of circumstantial evi dence which it has cost me much time and labor to collate, and Which I propose to present to the patient judgment Of those Who Still take an interest in the solution Of this long lived enigma, just as I should lay it before a jury. For it has been well remarked by the Quarterly Review that if ever solved, it must be solved not by a mere effort Of the intellect, like a mathematical problem, but by the evidence Of facts, in much the same manner as questions Of guilt or innocence are determined in our Courts Of Law.

Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the theory that William Burke, rather than his more famous cousin Edmund, was the true author behind the anonymous and controversial political writings of Junius. The author presents a wealth of circumstantial evidence to support their claim, including William's political motivations, his close relationship with Edmund, and his literary talents. By analyzing the historical context and thematic content of the Junius letters, the book sheds new light on the ongoing debate surrounding the identity of the enigmatic author. The book concludes that William Burke's drive for personal gain and his close alliance with Edmund make him a more likely candidate for Junius than his cousin and that his skillful prose and insider knowledge of politics further support this claim.
